Project Execution Strategy And Plan

For all contract, we run a system that ensure proper drafting of an execution strategy, Project Execution Plan. This Project Execution Plan provides a high level technical summary to define the strategy which will be adopted by us to demonstrate to our Client that we fully understand the contents of, and can successfully execute the scope of work defined in the contract.

The PEP is an operational document which is maintained by the Project Delivery Manager & the Project Team to support the delivery of the defined project output. It provides guidance with regards to execution philosophy, methodology, goals and objectives enabling the day to day management and control of the Project.

Human Resources

At NASSASTARZS, we maintain a pool of highly dedicated, trained & experienced Project Management Team. Our Project team is made up of highly qualified personnel who are professionals in core engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation; Marine/Ship repairs Operations, Quality Assurance & Controls, HSE, etc.

We possess all manpower that will execute the project bearing in mind the schedule, quality & best safety practice. We also possess competent tradesmen: Welders, site helpers, Fitters, Equipment Operators, Scaffolders, Riggers, Painters & Cleaners, Electricians & Mechanical fitters to meet any project demands. With our qualified Project Management, Fabrication, Engineering, Quality Assurance/Control and HSE personnel, we can deliver any projects we undertake in our chosen fields of expertise.

Since the areas of operations of NASSASTARZS RESOURCES LIMITED are mostly in Lagos, Niger Delta (Port Harcourt and Warri) and other offshore locations within and outside Nigerian territorial waters the company always regards the host communities as partners in progress and as indispensable factors as far as the company’s operations are concerned. Health Safety & Environment Project Safety Plan

At NASSASTARZS, safety of personnel is a hallmark in all our operations as we have ensured that all our projects are completed without Lost Time Incidents. Our Management team has put key processes in place to ensure that our projects are delivered without injuries to personnel, environment, equipment or property. We develop site specific Project Safety Plans for all our projects in line with client requirements and industry best practices.

 

We have dedicated HSE (NEBOSH) personnel who work with our site team to ensure that all work activities on every project are carried out in an Incident & Injury Free manner and promoting safe practices at all times. Daily site tool box talks are held by site teams prior to commencement of work activities of that day.

 

Some of the important elements that have been put in place in reaching our objective of Incident & Injury Free project delivery include:

Clear communication of our QHSE policies and goals with relevant/involved parties (Workers and Clients inclusive)

  • Setting mutually agreeable safety standards
  • Team awareness of Safety
  • Good work planning
  • Risk assessment of all activities
  • Site safety inductions for all site personnel
  • Daily tool box talks
  • Provision of right equipment and tools to employees for complete tasks to prevent injury that may occur as a result of using the wrong equipment/tools for the job
  • Providing all personnel with appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

The Company Management System ensures:

  • Compliance with mandatory rules & regulations;
  • Applicable rules, regulations, codes, guidelines and standards recommended by

International Maritime Organization, Administration, Classification Societies, International Labour Organization, Maritime  and Oil Transport Industry, are embraced;

  • The policy is understood, implemented and maintained at all levels in the organization while ultimate responsibility remains with the management;
  • The organization efforts aim at preventing errors, hazardous situations and incidents.

Should this occur, every employee ashore and on board is required to participate in  determining and eliminating the possible causes, in order to prevent recurrence in the future

  • Contingency plans and provisions for regularly exercising them are established, so that shore-based and shipboard organization can respond effectively at any time to hazards, accidents and emergencies involving the ship.

Drug And Alcohol Policy

It is the Company Policy that no employee seafarer shall the operates machinery, vessels or carry out his duty whilst under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Drugs

The possession, use, trafficking of any kind of illegal drugs on board any company managed ship and other working locations are prohibited.

The misuse of legitimate drugs, or the use, possession, distribution or sale of illicit or un-prescribed controlled drugs within company facilities and on board ships is also prohibited.

Any use of a prescribed controlled drug which causes, or contributes to unacceptable job performance or unusual behaviour should require the employee to be excused from duty until such time treatment and its after-effects cease.

The suggested list of substances to be prohibited should include, but not be limited to marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP) and amphetamines and their derivatives.

The Company will not authorize the employment of any persons who are users of or have a recent record of the use of illegal drugs or have abused the use of prescribed drugs.

Alcohol

Alcohol possession and use are strictly prohibited within work environments ashore and on board ships. Under our policy, if consummation is done outside the work environment or vessel a limit of not greater than 0.25 mg/l in the breath or 0.05% blood alcohol level (B.A.C) is tolerable.

Consumption exceeding the concentration above is not allowed for shore based personnel, Masters, Officers and other Seafarers. It is recommended that employees should not consume any alcohol of any quantity within four hours of going to duty.

The Company enforces a strict blood / breath and / or urine test schedule involving:

  • Mandatory pre-joining tests for all employees.
  • Periodical random testing for all employees.
  • Breathe analyzer tests are parts of the investigation processes whenever accidents or incidents occur.

 

Disciplinary Action

Any employee found in contravention of the Company’s drug and alcohol policy will be instantly dismissed and may face legal consequences. Adherence to this Policy is considered as a term of employment.
